A Kiss For Mommy from Braiden

MY LITTLE ANGEL
You've just walked on ahead of me And I've got to understand You must release the ones you love And let go of their hand.
I try and cope the best I can But I'm missing you so much If I could only see you And once more feel your touch.
Yes, you've just walked on ahead of me Don't worry I'll be fine But now and then I swear I feel Your hand slip into mine.
For Andye's 4th Rebirthday!!! Sent by Kerry and Mark Wagers

Adrianne M. Findley
 Adrianne M. Findley
Adrianne M. Findley was born in Ft. Worth,Texas to Deborah A Northcutt Findley and Richard A. Findley {deceased} and died in Williamstown, Kentucky on a very cold and dark December night. She leaves behind a 10 day old son who will never get to know his Mother and remember her as she lived. Not a day goes by, that I don't think about Adrianne, for you see I am her Mother. I was with her that cold and dark December night, but I didn't get to say Good-Bye to Andye, for I was unconconcious and in a coma for 6 days. When I woke up from my coma, she was already buried. So now, I want to tell you all about her, so that she will be forever loved in writing this memorial for her.

"IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN" IS THE SONG THAT I WOULD HAVE WANTED PLAYED AT ANDYE'S FUNERAL SERVICE IF I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE. I WAS IN A COMA AT THE TIME OF HER FUNERAL. I NEVER GOT TO SAY "GOOD-BYE" OR GIVE HER ONE "LAST KISS".
THIS WEB-SITE IS MY LAST KISS TO ANDYE!!!

"IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN" BY REBA MCENTIRE

IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN IT WAS THE LAST WALK IN THE RAIN. I'D KEEP YOU OUT FOR HOURS IN THE STORM. I WOULD HOLD YOUR HAND LIKE A LIFE LINE TO MY HEART UNDERNEATH THE THUNDER WE'D BE WARM IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN IT WAS OUR LAST WALK IN THE RAIN.
IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN I'D NEVER HEAR YOUR VOICE AGAIN I'D MEMORIZE EACH THING YOU EVER SAID AND ON THOSE LONELY NIGHTS I COULD THINK OF THEM ONCE MORE KEEP YOUR WORDS ALIVE INSIDE MY HEAD
IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN I'D NEVER HEAR YOUR VOICE AGAIN YOU WERE THE TREASURE IN MY HAND YOU WERE THE ONE WHO ALWAYS STOOD BESIDE ME
SO UNAWARE I FOOLISHLY BELIEVED THAT YOU WOULD ALWAYS BE THERE BUT THEN THERE CAME A DAY AND I TURNED MY HEAD AND YOU SLIPPED AWAY
IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN IT WAS MY LAST NIGHT BY YOUR SIDE I'D PRAY A MIRACLE WOULD STOP THE DAWN AND WHEN YOU'D SMILE AT ME I WOULD LOOK INTO YOUR EYES AND MAKE SURE YOU KNOW MY LOVE FOR YOU GOES ON AND ON
IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN THE LOVE I WOULD'VE SHOWN IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN

By Jamie baker - Nantz - Editor of Grant County News
WILLIAMSTOWN - A 10 day old baby lost his mother in a single - vehicle accident which occurred over the weekend.

Andye Findley's mother and step-father were seriously injured in the wreck, which occurred at 10:13 p.m. on Ky 36 near Lincoln Ridge Road in Williamstown. Andye Findley's infant son, Braiden Marcus Riley Comstock, had swelling in his head and a hairline fracture. He was taken by helicopter from St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Grant County to Children's Medical Center in Cincinnati. Lewis Hornsby, Andye Findley's step-father, also suffered from broken vertebrae. He remains in fair condition, also at University Hospital. Police aren't sure why Adrianne Findley's vehicle left the roadway, but believe she may have struck a tree to avoid hitting oncoming vehicles. Andye Findley had to be cut from the wreckage with hydraulic tools. She was put in a helecopter, but died before it left the ground. Grant County Coroner, Marylee Willoby pronounced Andye Findley dead at the scene. Willoby said none of the occupants were wearing seat belts. The baby was in a car seat, which was in the front seat of the vehicle. Adrianne Findley was born in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was a server at Shanghai Buffet in Dry Ridge and attended Oak Ridge Baptist Church. In 1998, Andye Findley was seriously injured in a hit and run accident. While walking to the Grant County Fair in Crittenden, She and a friend, were struck from behind by a truck. Andye Findley suffered damage to her hand and shoulder. The driver of the truck was never indentified. Adrianne M. Findley is also survived by two brothers and a sister. To the Editor,
On Dec. 14, 2002, at 10:13 P.M., the lives of my family changed forever. There was an automobile accident on Ky 36 and my Daughter, Adrianne M. Findley, was injured and died at the scene of the accident. Thanks to the people of this county, such as the firefighters of Williamstown Fire Department, the paramedics, Grant County Sherrif's Deputy Mike Garvey and Kentucky State Trooper Chad Mills who were with Adrianne and held her hand as she died on the scene. I "Thank You" from the bottom of my heart.
The people of Williamstown and Dry Ridge assisted in the burial of my daughter, Adrianne. I thank Williamstown Baptist Church, Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Grace Baptist Church and their people for their prayers and support during this crisis. I also want to thank Brother Mike Beasley and family for their support and his funeral message. Also, thanks to the patrons of Shoney's Restaurant, Shanghai buffet, Grant County Middle School and everyone who gave donations to the Adrianne M. I would also like to thank the people of this county like Donna Smith, Ina Marshall, Linda Moore Murphey, Rene Ecklar, Janelle Sanzenbacker, Lynda Mann, Jackie and Mark Chance, Brother Joe Hall, Sharon Thornberry, Danielle Hardyman, Lawson Northcutt, Pam and Paul Smith, Debbie Nickell and all of Adrianne's friends for their help, support and a shoulder to cry on. I Thank You and my family also Thanks you.
And, last but not least, would like to thank Jamie Baker-Nantz, editor of the Grant County News for remembering Adrianne from that accident at the Grant County Fair, 5 1/2 years ago. She wrote a really nice artical in the newspaper.
My daughter was buried by the generous people of Grant County, while I slept in a coma at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. That is why I am writing this letter to you and to all Grant Countians. I owe a big hug to Deputy Mike Garvey and Trooper Chad Mills.
Thank you very much, Deborah A. Northcutt Dry Ridge, Kentucky

The Day My Heart Broke The day that my heart broke was 14 December, 2002. It was a very cold Saturday. My Daughter, Andye called me that morning and told me that her 10 day old Son, Braiden's naval cord had fallen off and she wanted me to come over and show her how to set up the baby's bathtub and how to bath him properly. After we finished bathing Braiden, we went to Wal-mart and bought some more paint and supplies to finish her apartment. Afterwards, we went back to my house and met up with my husband, who had just gotten off work. We had a late lunch and she nursed the baby. After lunch, we loaded up her car. For the life of me, I can not remember why we all went in her car. Why did we take her "car" and not mine? I don't guess I will ever remember why we took her car and not mine. Maybe things might have been a lot different if we had taken my car, but I guess we will never know. Andye, Braiden, my husband and I got to the basement apartment around 4:00pm that afternoon. Braiden was real fussy and wouldn't settle down to sleep, so Andye had to stay upstairs with him. My husband and I finished all of the work downstairs. We got done about 8:30pm that evening. The basement apartment was all done and ready for Andye to start moving in the next day. My husband was tired and in a foul mood, because he had been up since 4:30AM. He was also angry, because she didn't help us finish all of the work! Andye was hurting real bad, because her body was producing more milk than the baby could consume. So, I was going to show her how to milk herself and freeze the milk for later use when we got back to my house. We loaded up her car with all of the cleaning equipment. We got in the car. This is the last thing that I can seem to remember of that night! The rest of that week is what I have learned from everyone else. We were going down Highway 36, just south of Williamstown. It was about 9:15pm at night. Andye was driving the speed limit. She must have hit a patch of Black ice and slid off of the road. She tried, but she could not get her car back onto the road, because the road and the shoulder were way too different in height. Where she went off of the road, the road was 8 inches difference to the shoulder. Andye panicked! Before she knew it, she ran out of shoulder and went down the hill and slammed into some trees. We must have hit hard, because the impact slammed me into the side window, which shattered, and it broke my seat belt and I ended up in the floorboard behind the seats. I was unconscious! My Husband was the first one out of the vehicle that night. He was walking around worrying about himself! Andye was pinned in the car by the steering wheel. It had been pushed forward in the impact. There were several cars behind us, and they stopped to help us. They got a crying Braiden out of the car and was holding him when the ambulance arrived. Andye saved my life that night! The ambulance crew looked in the car and only saw her. They didn't see me, because I was in a heap on the floor of the car. To them, I was just a rolled up coat! She pointed it out to the ambulance crew that I was there and needed help! The fire department had to cut off the roof of her car to get us out of the car. After they got Andye out of the car, they laid her down, while they got me out of the car. By this time, a Sheriff’s Deputy was holding Andye's hand. The Sheriff’s Deputy knew Andye, because his best friend was Andye's best friend's Dad. He was holding her hand and praying with her as she was praying The Prayer of Salvation! Andye knew she was dying and she wanted to make sure that she was right with God. They were loading her into the Helicopter when she started to have problems. Andye had two seizures and then died holding the Sheriff’s Deputy's ha
